Brunswick Youth and Community Centre aims to ensure that its website is accessible to everyone.

Here we provide web accessibility information and explain different ways in which you can access the website content.

Accessibility Standards

We developed our website to allow access to the widest possible audience. It is built using code compliant with W3C standards. Please contact us at f you have any difficulty using the site, or would like to suggest improvements.

Navigating Our Site

Every web page has a navigation bar at the top to allow you to move from section to section. You will also see that each section has properly ordered sub-sections. Click on these tabs to see the full site’s content. Each page has a link to the home page and there are various links throughout the pages to take you to other relevant pages. There is also a search box on each page which you can use to navigate the site.

Using Your Computer

There are lots of ways you can change things on your computer, such as changing your:

  • browser
  • screen
  • mouse
  • keyboard settings

to view websites more easily.

More detailed information can be found at the BBC website (click on the link to go to their site).

Using a Screen Reader

Various software programs (such as those described on the AbilityNet website) can be used to improve access to web information by people with a range of disabilities.  Brunswick Youth and Community Centre’s site will work with a wide variety of the most popular screen readers.
