The OVH Job Club provides a welcoming environment for its tenants to help them on their journey into employment. The service recognises that everyone has different needs and aims to offer a personalised service to everyone who attends.
The Job Club is aimed at tenants who are not in Education, Training, and Employment who need help to become financially independent through employment.
You can get help with training, confidence building, CVs, IT skills, Universal Jobmatch support and job searching.
One Vision Housing’s dedicated Employment and Skills Officers have a wealth of experience to support and help tenants into the careers of their choice.
As well as working with the Brunswick Youth and Community Centre, OVH’s Employment and Skills Officers work with a wide range of partners to ensure tenants have access to jobs, training and placement opportunities.
The Job Club at Brunswick Youth and Community Centre has helped many people find work.
One of the recent successes is Joseph Morris. He attended the Job Club at The Brunny where Bob Allen, OVH Employment and Skills Officer, helped him re-write his CV, take vocational courses, and ultimately land his “dream role” as a Catering Manager for a multi-national company at Manchester Airport.
We are proud of our role and wish Joseph every success in his new career.
(You can read more about how OVH and Brunswick Youth and Community Centre helped Joseph into work here.)
One Vision Housing is one of our partners and a registered provider of social housing with approximately 13,000 homes across Sefton, Liverpool, and Wirral.
It is a not-for-profit organisation and part of the Sovini Group, which also includes Pine Court Housing Association and Sovini Homes.
It is recognised as one of the best organisations to work for in the UK.
OVH started developing an employment service in 2010 when it realised that tenants would benefit from additional support into employment and training.
In 2014/2015 the Employment and Skills team helped 102 customers into full-time employment, 26 into part-time employment, and 42 people into vocational training courses.
