Brunswick Youth and Community Centre is proud to host Jamie Carragher 23 Soccer Schools as part of our Children and Young People programme.
Our school, founded by former Liverpool and England footballer Jamie Carragher, is held at Brunswick YCC where we have a state-of-the-art indoor 3G football pitch.
The schools are also offered at well over 50 primary schools in Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral, Skelmersdale, and Manchester.
At various locations the organisation offers Delivery Breakfast clubs, dinner time clubs, after school clubs, and PPA time sessions.
Jamie Carragher 23 Soccer Schools also run half-term camps and elite development camps.
Upon his retirement as one of the UK’s most popular and dedicated professional footballers, Jamie Carragher wanted to find ways of passing on his expertise, good fortune and passion for football to others. His said:
“My aim using qualified experienced coaches is to deliver the latest football coaching techniques, skills and sessions to children of all ages and ability levels on an international level. We will ensure a safe environment to learn with FUN being the number one intended outcome.”
He hopes to continue his legacy and hopefully find the next Jamie Carragher, Ross Barkley, Steven Gerrard, or Wayne Rooney. As he told the Liverpool Echo when he launched a Soccer School at All Saints school (across the road from Brunswick Youth and Community Centre):
“I’m sure we’ll help find a few stars of the future as there are always players to be found on Marsh Lane.”
Jamie’s passion for Brunswick Youth and Community Centre, and the people of his home town of Bootle, is well known. Determined to give back to his community, he has based both his soccer schools and Jamie Carragher Sports and Learning Academy here.
We are proud to work with Jamie and his professional team.
