Helping children and young people is at the heart of everything we do here at the Brunswick Youth and Community Centre.
Why and How We Help Children and Young People
As a charity registered with the Charity Commission, we are committed to fulfilling our activities and objects (read them here) which are focussed primarily, but not exclusively, on helping and educating people under 25.
The Liverpool branch of Brunswick Boys Club (as it was then known) opened its door in Liverpool in 1947. (Read about our history here.) Since then we have been dedicated to helping children and young people mature as individuals and members of society.
We do this in a number of ways:
- Tumbling Tots
- Jamie Carragher 23 Soccer Schools
- Junior Kids Club
- Senior Youth Club
- Girls Group
- ADHD Group
- Outreach Programme
- Liverpool Tamil School

One of our charitable objects is to benefit residents of Bootle and Sefton to improve overall conditions of life. For this reason we established a garden. (Read about that and the benefits for children, young people, and the wider community here.)
All these activities (except outreach and off-site activities) take place at our custom-built Community Centre at 104 Marsh Lane, Bootle. The Centre is a bright, clean, flexible space, with both indoor and outdoor facilities. Our Team, led by Centre Manager Keith Lloyd, are specially trained and experienced in dealing with children and young people. The building and staff provide a great environment for education, fun, and growth.
Membership of Brunswick Youth and Community Centre is FREE, and many of our activities are free of charge to members.
All children and young people in our members’ groups are required to complete a Registration Form. Please click on the link to download it.
